I finished week 3 of INSANITY and started week 4 today. Let me tell you, this truly is a day-to-day challenge for me. Every day, I wonder if I can do it. And every day, I end up doing it anyway.
One encouraging fact: IT IS NEVER EASY, BUT IT DOES GET LESS DIFFICULT. AND THERE IS CONCRETE, TANGIBLE PROGRESS.
I can see the progress in my performance during the workouts (and the fit tests). I am tickled by the fact that I can push myself a little bit harder each time I do the workouts. I can feel the progress in my firmer body and in my energy level. I still haven’t lost any weight, but I decided to just go with the fact that I generally feel better (and also feel accomplished.)
In the beginning of week 3, I completed a second fit test, and I was floored by how much I have improved!!
I honestly don’t think this program is for everyone. Perhaps it’s not even for me (at my age), but I am glutton for punishment. I thrive on trying things that is seemingly impossible for me to do. And the “insanity”of the Insanity workout has kept me going thus far. However, the second month scares me a little. But… let’s keep taking it one day at a time. The first month is almost done!! Yay!
